Play Ludo Online with Friends — Free, No App

FlashChat Arcade has free Ludo for 2 to 4 players that runs in your phone’s browser. Send one link and up to three friends join, or play the computer, or pass one phone around. There is nothing to install, no sign-up and no ads.

Three ways to play

  1. With friends online. Up to four players, each on their own phone. The host taps Start once two players are in; the game starts by itself when the fourth joins.
  2. Against the computer. One to three computer players, on Easy, Medium or Hard.
  3. On one phone. Two to four players take turns on the same screen, the way Ludo is played on a board.

Four ways to get a game online

  • Invite link. Tap Play people online and share the link, on WhatsApp or anywhere else. Anyone who opens it within 10 minutes takes a seat.
  • FlashBuddy invite. With a FlashChat profile you can invite a FlashBuddy straight from the game. They get the invite in the app or as a notification.
  • Find a player. Get matched with someone else who is looking for a game right now (a two-player game).
  • From a chat. In a stranger chat, the + tray has a Play button that challenges the person you're talking to. The game opens over the chat, so the conversation keeps going.

How online Ludo stays fair

In an online game the server rolls the dice, not your phone, so nobody can fix a roll. Every phone plays the same rolls back in the same order, and your own colour always sits at the bottom left of your screen.

Each turn has 30 seconds. If you miss one, it is played for you, and a player who misses three turns in a row or leaves the game drops out while everyone else plays on. A player who loses the connection gets the same seat back if they return within a minute.

The rules

  • You need a six to bring a token out of the yard.
  • A six, a capture or a token reaching home gives you another roll. Three sixes in a row pass the turn.
  • The eight star squares are safe: a token there can’t be captured.
  • Two tokens of the same colour on one square form a block and can’t be captured either.
  • The first player to bring all their tokens home wins (four tokens, or two in a quick game against the computer or on one phone), and the others are placed in the order they finish.

When a roll gives you only one possible move, it plays itself, so the game keeps moving.

What it costs

Nothing. There are no coins, no ads, no in-game purchases and no account. It is part of the FlashChat Arcade, alongside Snakes & Ladders, Chess and Connect Four.

FAQ

Can I play Ludo online with friends without downloading an app?

Yes. FlashChat Ludo runs in the browser on Android, iPhone and computers. Share the invite link and your friends join from their own browser.

How many people can play?

Two to four, whether you play online, against the computer or on one phone.

Is the dice fair in online games?

Yes. Online, the server rolls the dice and every phone shows the same rolls, so no player’s phone can change a result.

What happens if someone leaves in the middle?

They drop out and the rest keep playing. A missed turn is played for you, and after three missed turns in a row you are out.

Do I need an account?

No. A FlashChat profile is only needed to invite a FlashBuddy; links, finding a player and the computer work without one.

Is it free?

Yes. No ads, no coins and nothing to buy.
