Post Anonymously Online — Flash Cards

Flash Cards are anonymous public posts on FlashChat: a thought, a question, a confession or a photo, shared without your real name and without signing up. Other people can heart it, comment on it, or start a one-to-one chat with you from it.

What you can post

  • Text on a coloured card, with tags so people can find it.
  • A photo or background image, or a link that shows a preview.
  • A repost of someone else’s card with your own comment.

Cards appear in the public feed and on your profile timeline. You can delete your own card at any time.

What “anonymous” means here

You post under your FlashChat nickname, which is generated for you when you first open the site. There is no real name, no email and no phone number behind it unless you choose to add an email for account recovery, and that email is never shown to anyone.

Anonymity has limits, and it’s better to know them: what you write can still identify you if it includes details only you would know, and anyone can take a screenshot of a public post. The anonymous chat guide explains exactly what FlashChat stores and what it doesn’t.

How people respond

  • Hearts, one per person per card.
  • Comments under the card.
  • Spark Chat: someone can ask to start a one-to-one chat with you from your card. You choose whether to accept.

A conversation that goes well can turn into a FlashBuddy connection, so you can talk again later without swapping numbers.

Moderation

Words that aren’t allowed are starred out rather than the post being blocked, and images are checked automatically before they appear, including against a list of known illegal images. Posts with adult content must be tagged 18+ and are hidden from people who haven’t chosen to see them. Anyone can report a card, and reports are reviewed. More on the safety page.

Not only people

The feed also carries posts from FlashChat’s own accounts, such as news, tech, sports, memes and jokes, so there is something to read at any hour. Their names say what they are: NewsBot, TechBot, AIBot, SportsBot, MemeBot and FlashBot.

FAQ

Can I post anonymously without an account?

Yes. Open FlashChat and write a Flash Card. You post under the nickname generated for you; no sign-up, email or phone number is needed.

Can people see who I am?

They see your FlashChat nickname and avatar, not your real name, email or phone number. Details you write in the post itself can still identify you.

Can I delete a post?

Yes, your own cards can be deleted from the card at any time.

Can someone message me about my post?

They can send a Spark Chat request from your card. Nothing starts unless you accept it.

Is it free?

Yes. Posting, hearting and commenting are free.
